@kx different vertical. Actually had to forfeit my 401k for 8 months (F BONY) but now it's worth it. Small price to pay to actually care about my job again. Bony is the most toxic environment I've never seen in my 20 year career. Six years there was enough. Also glad to be rid of the absolute stooges in tsg
@jz where are you now? Please get us out of here!! Lol
@fv
David Beckham LOL!!!! nooooooo
RV looks more like Jigsaw from the ‘Saw’ films.
“I wanna play a game,,,, go look at your ratings”
@jz I couldn’t in good conscience rate someone low. Sure they were junior and needed coaching and development but they didn’t deserve a low rating and to be “setup”. The lowest rating I gave my team was meets and couldn’t comply with the mandate. Throughout my tenure at the bank, I never received a low rating. Suddenly, after this event, I started to receive low ratings and feedback that didn’t even apply to my day to day. I was being “setup” and started planning my exit soon after. Fortunately, I landed a new org that actually values coaching and development. BONY has so far been the most toxic environment I’ve ever experienced in my career.
Ex BONY Director here. I absolutely had to give people low ratings that they didn't deserve. My case against it was that if I am doing my job, I already have a strong team. And I sure as F did. That didn't matter, and I had to set up good people. It's as sc-mmy as you can get. For a couple years I stopped worrying about making sure everyone performed well and let a bottom establish on its own. What kind of BS culture is that? Let managers do their jobs. I am a good one and left as I know karma will eventually catch up with me if I knowingly kept up with the charade. I can't say if this is a financial services thing or not. I just know that where I am at now, I have only had to separate for genuine issues and lack of productivity; not to hit a quota.
@gq hey mo--n, people are working and being fired for made up sh-t. Go back to mommys basement and play with your legos
@gq
And you remain a loose stool.
Don’t blame me. Blame you Mom and Dad- a.k.a Brother and sister
@g3 shock and horror “BNY forces” you to actually come to fu#king work. Comrade you belong in the Cuban workers’ paradise
Sorry, were either of those statements inaccurate? Inflation is very low 2.8%) and unemployment is also very low. The OP just seems to want to bi--h and moan and the nasty capitalists. Sorry comrade OP you are just lazy.
@ed screams midlife crisis doesn’t it?
'Own It' .. my As#
Working under threat of loosing our job everyday, what kind of shi# do you want ppl to own. Is he f stupid ?? we dont wanna own shi$
@fm chutya
@fm
Sounds like you ate a lot of ex lax and drank a lot of prune juice before you blast posted that comment out of your behind.
Ask yourself, what kind of jobs are these people working at? Are these citizens and people born in the USA? What kind of pay? What kind of benefits? Are these full time or part time or voluntary? How were these statistics recorded? What about career positions? What about white collar jobs?
Gas prices and inflation are irrelevant here except when BNY is forcing people to come in and spend more out of pocket while getting no raises to compensate.
You are a classic case of foot in mouth with no intellect.
He’s looking more and more like Emperor Palpatine, seems fitting.
@ed The David Beckham look is definitely not working. Nothing he does style-wise is of any interest. The unshaven, hipster appearance is unbecoming of a major global banking Chairman and CEO with a 240+year history and does not signal a progressive, innovative culture. It smacks of dirt, grunge, vanity with strong hint of insecurity. Maybe he thinks it will help him look younger when meeting with CNBC, MSNBC, Bloomberg and Fox Business and appeal more to young investors and colleagues.
The FACT is that more people are working now than ever before...we're almost at full employment. And the FACT is inflation is pretty low even though it's above the target. Other than temporary increases in gas prices, most the of the affordability issues were from a couple years ago. And GDP is pretty solid when you account for increased imports due to the partisan SCOTUS ruling on tariffs.
@et Noticed he looks tired and his eyes are looking red and bloodshot. Another sign of evil and bad intentions.
@ek Same. That place is a masterclass in mediocrity. Performance reviews seem more fictional than factual, ratings are a joke, and the bonuses and raises are just enough to remind you inflation exists. Now they’re barreling toward a five-day RTO mandate, because apparently morale wasn’t low enough already.
The management ranks are packed with career middle managers whose greatest skill is nodding enthusiastically at whatever comes from above. As for developing future leaders? Don’t worry about that since there’s no room when the seats are permanently occupied.
If you’re looking to build a career, keep looking. If you’re looking to watch bureaucracy thrive while talent leaves, you’ve found the right place.
@ep Yes. He appears to be sick… in the head… and more gaunt looking Maybe his conscience is flaring up for a mi Ute or two.
@ck does anyone else think that he looks ill?
So glad I left this hellhole last year. Wake up people.
Can someone please tell the azz*hole R V he does not look like David Beckham. That fake rugged look is horrible. Shave and get a friggin haircut. Urgh!
What is the old saying? Statistics and votes only matter to the ones who record them.
Unemployment is a different story when you dont count people over 55 and people who have given up looking for jobs. Or people
Counting as employed when working temp jobs or part time. Or people working for the public sector in Govt….. and how do
You justify people as employed when they have taken jobs at titanic pay cuts. I know a 53 year old director guy from BNY who spent 15 months looking for a job and took a $60,000 pay cut. See? Look at how nicely everything works out at BNY when RV Is never ever challenged on his B- S. Look how great it is when 50+ year olds who gave their trust to BNY are essentially unhirable by companies due to age and too much salary. Look how marvelous it is when college grads looking for entry level jobs with their heads full of great ideas and new technologies dont get a chance because low cost , endless cheap supply India is working for the USA in endless supply just to keep things exactly as they are.
I hope there is a Karma being who can exact it on RV and this board of destructingdirectors.
Also loved the promotion of compounding by the CEO that took a year’s worth of compounding away from his employees each year in their 401(k)s.
Yeah they are full of sh-t. Many companies announced layoffs of 30k employees for cr-p like AI so they need to quit gaslighting because they are doing the exact same thing to us here . And hiring 1000 new at more money while terminating those with knowledge that make far less. Makes total sense
There HAS to be some sort of off the record directive to lie to the American people people about the fact economy and job market; has to be (to avoid a panic or an official depression?).
@a1 RV made $85 million USD last year. He lies through his teeth constantly without even blinking an eye.
This paid promotion is brought to you by 2 people that are so out of touch with reality, and BoA.
I swear a merger announcement was/is coming while watching that skit.
I love my job and have no hobbies other than seeing my family…occasionally…says the guy making $20+ mil/yr. Great role model.
